Baidu and Lazada Partners to Bring Indonesia’s E-Commerce Industry to the Top
Chinese internet giant Baidu has just made a partnership with Lazada Indonesia official yesterday (6/10). The partnership allows users of Baidu Browser access Lazada through a shortcut, which is in the form of Lazada’s icon on its home page. In return, Lazada provides a special page dedicated to Baidu users entitled the “Baidu Special”. The page displays special deals at special price that can only be accessed by the users of Baidu Browser all over Indonesia.
After claiming its achievement of selling thousands of Xiaomi units just in a couple of hours, Lazada looks to establish its position as one of the most reliable e-commerce platforms in Indonesia even more. Coincidentally, Baidu is of the belief that the potential of Indonesia’s Android users is extremely huge. That’s why both agreed to seal a partnership.
“We are extremely glad to work with Lazada Indonesia. Lazada is our potential partner, and we believe that the partnership will be fruitful for both parties. By this partnership, we also look to give much more fun experience of shopping to the Baidu Browser users in Indonesia,” Bryan Lee, the Business Development Baidu Indonesia, stated (6/10).
Well, as one of giants in the internet industry, it’s just normal if Baidu looks to make the partnership applicable at any possible devices, including PC or laptop. Similar to the inclusion of Lazada icon on Baidu Browser’s home page, the icon is also visible in the “Hot Area” of Hao123. Click it and you will get redirected to the home page of Lazada Indonesia.
“We are of the belief that our partnership with Baidu will give all of the users of both Baidu and Lazada an unforgettable experience of online shopping,” Andry Huzain, SVP Marketing & Business Development Lazada Indonesia, said.
The partnership itself is expected to increase the sales of both companies. The wish is to see a fleet of Lazada’s customers downloading Baidu Browser to get special deals which are only accessible through the browser.
