BlackBerry 10 Jam To Come To Indonesia
Although BlackBerry 10 Jam is being attended by developers from around the world, it looks like RIM is eager to meet with more developers and for that they have planned to take BlackBerry 10 Jam on a tour around the world. One of the countries is of course, Indonesia.
The tour was announced by Alec Saunders, RIM's Vice President of Developer Relations while on stage at BlackBerry World. In every visited city, RIM will hold a one day session to introduce BlackBerry 10 to local and regional developers.
The list of cities were shown on stage during Saunders' presentation but it's not final and there may be more cities added.
It's entirely possible that during the tour, RIM may distribute BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha devices to attending developers just as they have done during the opening of this year's BlackBerry World. BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha is a prototype device containing an early version of the BlackBerry 10 operating system.
Developer Assurance In the mean time, during BlackBerry 10 Jam in Florida, RIM announced a sort of an insurance policy for developers. The company declared that developers will earn at least US$10,000 from sales of BlackBerry 10 apps on the BlackBerry App World in the first year. If within that first year sales of a developer's BlackBerry 10 app did not reach $10,000, RIM will pay up the rest.
Of course, that incentive only applies to those who qualify and meet RIM's requirements. The app has to pass quality control determined by a third party and have earned the developer at least US$1000 on its own before the policy kicks in.
