Equinox Deals, Only on Mobile Platform

Looking at the numbers of daily deals website popping out here and there, you’re probably getting bored of hearing it. They all have similarity, only accessible through web. What if there is a daily deals website that is only accessible through mobile? Equinox, developer that has developed may iOS applications launched daily deals using only mobile application. It is called Equinox Deals and launched on March 21, 2011. Equinox Deals is here in form of application for iPhone and iPod touch, and next to come is for iPad, Android and BlackBerry.

Unlike other daily deals, Equinox Deals gives simpler offers. For example is offering from Equinox Publishing, if you redeem a free book offer, you will get a unique 4-digit PIN as “proof”. When you visit their store in Kuningan, after fulfilling terms and conditions of using deals, the cashier will use the PIN to complete transaction. So you don’t have to provide cash or any form of money to daily deals’ merchant. Easy and simple.

Of course what Equinox Deals should focus on is how to fulfill their quota and how to manage so that the code the issue isn’t not over limit from the quota. You don’t have to trouble yourself by transferring a certain amount of money to daily deals provider, no need to print out coupons and bring them to merchants. You just need to show your PIN via cell phone and all purchase will be taken care of in cashier. As easy as using credit card discount.

Equinox itself as mobile application developer, especially in iOS platform is quite tested. Equinox had made application for JakartaGlobe, TransJakarta, MyBabyTree, GG Gym Indonesia, and iBox, for examples.

Frankly I am very happy with this solution, easy, quick, and efficient. Although not many offers available suit me, I am still expecting that I can use them someday. This is a fresh air in the middle of crowded and similar daily deals competition. In fact, all daily deals should use the same method as Equinox – accessible via mobile application, not only web – to make things easier for the consumers to be able to use the offers available. Don’t you think so?
