G2Lab Announces Funding from Primedge Investment Holdings
Supports G2Lab's big vision to increase Indonesia's tech talents
G2Lab, an edtech and tech consultant startup founded by Ferry Sutanto, announcing funding with undisclosed value from Primedge Investment Holdings. Primedge is managed under Ancora Capital led by Gita Wirjawan. The funding will be used to help G2Lab's big vision to increase Indonesia's tech talents.
Before founding G2Lab, Sutanto has been long engaged in IT business, both in the U.S. and Indonesia. After 21 years of working in the U.S., he joined GDP Venture and Blibli. At Blibli, his last position was the Head of Technology.
"Through this funding, G2Lab plans to accommodate more participants by investing on a head office for students and alumni, as well to recruit more experts. Every plan is to be focused on improving specifically formulated programs to create capable human resources for Indonesia's technology to compete in the global world," he said.
The demand to improve human resource in technology has encouraged Sutanto to establish G2Lab with its two segments. First, to create intensive courses in the technology segment for the public to have excellent skills in the working field. Topics covered in this class include web development, app development for iOS and Android, cybersecurity, UI/UX, and digital marketing.
Second, is the consulting segment with CTO-as-a-Service (CTOaaS) scheme. In this segment, G2Lab will help clients with their technological demand, particularly the companies in need of experts in technology.
In the education segment, G2Lab relates to other similar intensive academic institutions, such as Hacktiv8 and Dicoding. They're also supported by Kejora Ventures with Andy Zain and Sebastian Togelang sit as Advisors.
"We have the same vision, to improve Indonesian talents' quality through the academic capacity increase and productive network creation for human capital in Indonesia," Gita Wirjawan commented on this funding.
