Hemat.com is Officially Released For Public
Just like other daily deals service, Hemat.com offers discount from various merchants, and users can get information on the offers through website, Facebook, Twitter or email. Users can buy and print the coupon whenever they want to use it. There’s a quota that needs to be fulfilled before the discount offers can be activated, which means Hemat.com is focusing on group purchase.
The website says that they have referral program where users can invite their friends to purchase coupons available there. There will be incentives on this process, can be found in wallet column in user’s account page.
DailySocial have been writing about daily deals or group buying service, competition level is quite high now that Groupon is entering Indonesian market by acquiring Disdus. Groupon becomes the service with extremely wide expansion in the world, including Asia, just awhile ago they have acquired several clones in Asia. Groupon clone term also indicates that they are the largest group buying.
Hemat.com is released almost on the same time, at least on the same day, with Disdus acquisition by Groupon. I don’t know whether they’ve predicted it, but seeing at their Facebook status, when this article was written, the public release was announced 5 hours ago.
One thing for sure, it will be interesting to see what strategy each service will use to compete with Groupon. Will they expand themselves to other services, will they make daily deals only as feature, or will they choose to stay the way they are now and compete head to head with Groupon.
Let see how it goes next.
