Indonesia Has the Highest Percentage of Users Who Access Facebook via Mobile Devices
Indonesia, mobile, and social media are inseparable between one and another. According to the latest data by eMarketer, 92,4% of Facebook users in Indonesia access the social media through mobile devices. This number is way higher than any other country could get, including the U.S and India that have more Facebook users.
As the data suggested, even though the U.S and India possess higher number of users who access Facebook through mobile devices (more than 100 million users for each), the percentage that both countries get isn’t as high as Indonesia, with only 79,1% for the U.S and 82,9% for India.
At a global scale, the number of Facebook users across the globe will soon reach a fantastic milestone of one billion users. The mobile segment will also be many more steps ahead of desktop, with 73:27 proportion this year.
In total, eMarketer noted that 62,6 million Facebook users in Indonesia accessing the social media through mobile devices. eMarketer predicted that the number will rise up to 95,1 million in 2018, or 98,8% of Facebook users in the country.
It is also forecasted that the number of Facebook users who access it via mobile will reach half of mobile users in Indonesia by 2018. Based on Facebook’s latest report, the number of Facebook users in Indonesia has reached an estimated 69 million.
