InfraDigital Receives Seed Funding, Focused on Developing School Payment System
Funding comes from Appworks Ventures, Fenox Ventures, and angel investors
InfraDigital Nusantara as the school payment system development, today (2/20) announced to receive seed funding. The value is not mentioned, but participated investors are Appworks Ventures, Fenox Ventures, and two angel investors working for Google and Netflix.
Along with the latest funding, InfraDigital will be focused on improving service quality throughout school networks this year. Some additional features are prepared following consumer's demand. Funding will also be allocated to expand market in all over Indonesia.
Since the launching in early 2018, InfraDigital has managed payments in 90 academic institutions involving up to 24 billion Rupiah and more than 20 thousand students. When first introduced, they targeting business process digitization which previously done manually, such as school payment, apartment bills, and parking fees.
"Paying school fee should be as easy as buying electricity token. Regardless of parents having bank account or not, nothing can stop them for paying on time. Everyone can pay for academic fees anywhere, anytime through banking services, payment applications, and market outlets. We also help digitize financial management to save costs, time and energy. School will be easier to manage financial and to be focus on developing education," InfraDigital's Founder Ian McKenna said.
In the academic sector, aside from schools, InfraDigital services also available for other institutions, such as universities, course, and Islamic boarding schools. As a "payment gateway", InfraDigital works directly with several partners for payment channels, such as Indomaret, Alfamart, BNI, Mandiri, Danamon, Ayopop, Kaspro, and Mobilepulsa.
