Kartumuu Added New Features and Collaborate with Two Local Startup
Now Kartumuu users are not only given the facility to send cards through Twitter but through Facebook as well. These features are available in Kartumuu’s roadmap and were also featured in Daily Social’s article on Kartumuu a while back.
As with many facilities for digital greeting cards in Twitter, Kartumuu’s users simply need to click on ‘Facebook’ tab available in sharing choices when sending card, after connecting their Facebook account with Kartumuu, so users can send the cards to their friends by typing firned’s name (auto complete facility available), later the addressed and addressee will receive greeting cards from Kartumuu on their Facebook wall, including ‘like’ and ‘comment’ facilities.
Another new feature is ‘comment and rate’ feature on card’s design in Kartumuu collection. Users now can comment on the designs and rate them (with star icon) whether they like or dislike the design. Like written in their blog, the facility can help Kartumuu’s designers to get critics develop their creativity.
Besides the features addition, Kartumuu also added several collaboration with other brands after they started it by gifts from Carrefour a while back. Now, they cooperate with two Indonesia startups, KrazyMarket and GantiBaju.com. With GantiBaju.com, their collaboration is related to Valentine’s Day, which was quiz to express your feelings to your loved ones with Kartumuu through Facebook, this quiz ended yesterday on 13 February, 2011. The quiz also included extra gift of dining vouchers from Calico Grill & Brewery.
Users can choose the cards from several themes available, add available Kartumuu’s facility, like quotes or personal message, and afterwards they can choose nominal form the voucher they want to send. Vouchers nominal available are Rp, 50.000, Rp. 100.000, and Rp. 200.000.
The service provided by Kartumuu is quite classic, sending digital greeting card, but with the growth of social media, like the popular ones such as Twitter and Facebook, sending digital greeting cards is back on its track. Addition to distribute cards in Facebook should also be done in Kartumuu, other than the easiness of viewing your card directly on your Facebook wall (for Twitter, most applications require clicking on a link), and ‘like’ and ‘comment’ facility can add viral element for the card itself and for Kartumuu brand.
One thing I’ve been waiting from Kartumuu’s service is their inter brand collaboration, the collaboration element started since providing shopping vouchers at the end of December last year, and these two additional collaboration shows that collaboration opportunity with other companies is getting wider. I will also try to contact Kartumuu to try and get some information regarding Kartumuu’s users’ interest on these collaboration programs.
