Koprol's Frontpage Redesigned, Merging User Account With Yahoo! ID
Just like SBY, we love Koprol like no one does
Alongside with the frontpage redesign, Koprol also trimming the login option for its users : Yahoo! ID (of course), Facebook Connect and Google ID and omitting the previous Koprol credentials. There's not much of a change from the user side, just have to sync their Koprol account with Yahoo! ID and all will run normally. Although I think there's gonna be small percentage of Koprol user who will have difficulties doing this. But this move will make it easier for Koprol to do a profiling for its users, rather than building a custom-made profiling engine using Koprol's database.
Here's a brief comment from Satya Witoelar about Koprol's further step based on the email he sent me :
we removed the live streams, and instead show a simple map and people can look at people, places, and deals nearby (if there's any). no really surprising tricks in this design, but it just signifies that we want 'internationalize' it some more, to go official in Philippines & other countries.
there will also be logos of business accounts under the ad for Koprol for Business. Yahoo's business side is working really closely with our product team. outside of the business accounts, we continue to seek unique marketing collaborations. and btw, there's a Yahoo text ad in our search results page. LOL, dont kill me.
so this simple change is about making it a bit more international & business friendly.
this is the first homepage redesign since last year's big New-to-net campaign.
this is designed by my rockstar frontend developer, Rian Triharyana, hired post-acquisition.
wish us luck! :)
And of course, we will always support. Anyway, here is Koprol's new frontpage as of May 5th 2011 :
