Multiply Launched a New Logo and Streamlined Its Site Design
As we noted in our Tumblr post yesterday, online marketplace Multiply has launched a new logo alongside a redesigned website. It has been just over a full year ever since Multiply began its shift to a marketplace from a blogging and social networking site and its new design reflects the full change as all signs of the old social network have been removed.
CEO Stefan Magdalinski welcomes Multiply shoppers with a message on the site. He said that the new Multiply is being served to deliver a greater experience in online sales and shopping and also made a note of the free delivery and secure payment methods as features of Multiply.
While Multiply is currently down as this article is being typed, DailySocial sister site Trenologi mentioned yesterday that upon visiting Multiply, you'll be greeted with the rectangular designs, typical of many e-commerce sites, that displays the products on offer. From the menu, you can opt to sort the products based on price. The side bar has a tree-list of product categories that can be expanded to reveal more details. You can switch between the Indonesian site or the version of the site for The Philippines, the two markets Multiply currently is focusing on. The note also said that there might be bugs and issues with the site as the new codes are being rolled out over the next few days.
In a couple of months, Magdalinski will be celebrating his fist year as Multiply CEO, having arrived from Africa's mobile business directory Mocality, which unfortunately has shut down as of last month following a tussle with Google. When he first set foot in Jakarta in May 2012, he said that his immediate objective was "to built the best e-commerce platform in the region". We'll come back in May to see how Multiply has performed after a year under the current leadership.
