14 Participants Have been Selected for Founder Institute while The Registration is still Available until 9th of October 2011

Several days ago, we got information that at that time, the number of participants for Jakarta Founder Institute (JFI) are 102 applications and 14 of them has been selected. The announcement of the application numbers and the selected applications is also done by Andy Zain via Twitter several days ago.

Novistiar Rustandi informed through email that the 102 applicants consist of 7 females and the rest are men. He also added that the decision has been done through the review and has been decided by Founder Institute (FI) team from Sillicon Valley, led by Adeo Ressi.

Novistiar also explained that there is good news in which Adeo Ressi stated that there are many participants or applicants have good quality. Novistiar also added that FI hopes that the good quality entrepreneurs collaborated with top quality mentors also strong curriculum can create good technology startups. Founder Institute is still waiting for other participants who want to register until 9th of October 2011.

As informed previously on DailySocial, Founder Institute is the pre-seed incubator program which also “a global network of startups and mentors that helps entrepreneurs launch meaningful and enduring technology companies”. This event will be held for 4 months with 15 activities for the participants in courses. The curriculum is including Branding Legal and Intellectual Property (IP), Cofounders-Hiring-Firing-Revenue-Cost-Profit and Fund Raising. The complete detail can be accessed here.

The registration for early bird Jakata Founder Institute has already over by 18th of September 2011. However, the registration will still be open until 9th of October 2011. Jakarta Founder Institute will select 30 participants. The participants will get the priceless knowledge from mentors such as Andi S. Boediman (Ideosource dan IDS), Batara Eto (East Ventures), Dian Noeh Abubakar (Weber Shandwick), Didi Nugrahadi (Saling Silang), Erik Meijer (Bakrie Connectivity), Eka Ginting (Indo.com), Izak Jenie (Nexian) and so on. Also mentors from the US such as Adeo Ressi (TheFunded.com), Phil Libin (CEO Evernote), Jeff Stewart (Urgent Group founder), Scott Rafer (Omniar) and there will be some more mentors from the US. Although there are already 14 names selected, Novistiar explained that they also had waiting list for applicants that has been submit their application (meet the requirments) but hasn't been selected. However, since the numerous applicants, JFI wants to get best of the best, so they are waiting until the end of the registration session to examine all the applications before decided to choose the participants. Therefore, there is still a chance for those who has met the requirements but hasn’t been chosen.
