Bukalapak to introduce BukaGlobal

Bukalapak's Youtube channel this week has uploaded a video promoting BukaGlobal, a service that allows overseas consumers to shop in Bukalapak. The latest breakthough provides opportunities for Indonesian products to be accessed by overseas customers. BukaGlobal is set to launch next Monday (5/20) in Singapore.

In the promotion video on Bukalapak, they proclaim as the first Indonesian e-commerce to be accessible by overseas customers.

As quoted in the news on BukaReview, the Bukalapak's new feature is going to penetrate some countries, such as Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Meanwhile, the sellers are limited to selected ones in Jakarta and Tangerang area.

The same source leaked, BukaGlobal is using one way shipping or export. In terms of payment, it's available using credit card, debit, collection point from local remittance agent, all in Rupiah.

BukaGlobal is to be the new innovation series by Bukalapak in 2019 after launching same day delivery service in collaboration with Paxel, Buka Asuransi, and the R&D center. Earlier this year, they also secured 706 billion Rupiah from Mirae Asset and Naver Corp.
