Grab Accommodates OVO's In-App Transactions

Soon to provide transfer among customers and acquire points from GrabRewards

Grab announces OVO's additional feature and services that allows payment using QR Code in Grab application. The latest update supports both parties plan, both Grab which ambition is to be the "super app" and OVO to provide a better experience for users in doing transactions online.

Previously, Grab provides balance top-up with some options, the ATM, internet banking, minimarkets, debit and credit cards, also cash via driver partners. OVO can also be used to top-up mobile balance.

In the display, Grab users (OVO's customers) can make transactions in OVO merchants by scanning the QR Code. There will be an update that allows transfers among OVO customers (p2p transfer), by QR Code or phone number.

Later, there will be loyalty points (GrabRewards) for all Grab's in-app transactions, which can be exchanged to various kinds of prizes.

As a payment platform, OVO claims to be in more than 60 million smartphones and partners with 350,000 merchants in 212 cities. Despite being used for non-cash payment by QR Code, OVO also provides PPOB services, such as BPJS Kesehatan, Electricity, TV Cable, insurance, data plan, mobile balance, and postpaid bills.
