Marsya Nabila - 1 March 2019

A tech startup for recruitment, Kalibrr, targeting to acquire 1.2 million registered candidates in Indonesia this year. The increase is encouraged by more partnership with community, university, and monthly activity.

Permata Indwita, Kalibrr's Country Strategy Head said after two years of operation in Indonesia, Kalibrr continues to double up the overall business. In terms of job seekers, corporate clients, and so on.

Last year, Kalibrr has obtained more than 500 clients, 700 thousand candidates with 50 thousand new seekers every month. Around 70% are occupation on supervisor level, associate, and senior manager. In average, the candidates have worked for 2 years to 9 years.

"This year, we want to double up to 1.2 million job seekers registered on our platform," he said, Wed (2/27).

She also added, the more candidates data collected, the easier they'll get connected with the suitable job. The thing is, Kalibrr uses artificial intelligence technology (AI) to make it easier for candidates to find job vacancy to match their profile.

When the candidates get job recommendation when accessing Kalibrr, they only have to slide right or left. Next, fill out some data requirements from the company. This method is similar to the online dating app like Tinder.

Similar with the company, AI technology will make them easier to find suitable candidates. Later, the company can simply send an invitation letter to attract the desired candidate. In this way, the recruitment process will be far more efficient.

"From the internal research, we found that the candidates invited through AI have 4 times higher accuracy to be interviewed than those using manual process."

Aside from AI, Kalibrr also supported by Google Jobs to reach more prospective candidates looking for work through the giant search engine. Previously, Kalibrr worked with Facebook and LinkedIn. This kind of partnership is beneficial, both for candidates and companies.

In addition, Kalibrr is also available in Philippines. When the two countries combined, there will be 1.7 million candidates registered, 24 thousand recruiters, and 6 million conversation happened during last year.

Based on the previous interview, Kalibrr plans to expand to Vietnam this year. It was done due to the realization its vision as the leading tech startup in recruitment.
