Mapaya Develops Online Catering Platform, Available in Medan

The rise the internet era has changed the perspective of Indonesian society, both consumers and businesses.  Technology plays a role in the process, not only about service but also business models. Mapaya is one of the startups trying to combine a catering business with internet technology. They want to provide a platform to order catering online. They're offering high-quality food at affordable prices.

The company specifically targeting users who demand easy lunch. Mapaya is currently reached more than 2000 users.

"Mapaya concept is an online-based catering platform targeting Medan population with the demand for delicious food at affordable prices yet the quality meets the restaurant standard," Mapaya's CEO, William said to DailySocial.

The concept is similar to Kulina in Jakarta. As one of the developing startup in Medan, Mapaya offers some benefit, such as personalized subscription feature, various kinds of menu every day, and easy payment using Ovo and Go-Pay, also free delivery all around Medan.

As a business, Mapaya is supported by angel investor with undisclosed value.

Mapaya is one of many startups with an opportunity to make pitching at Startupfest 2019 Medan. This year, they're focus to develop a mobile app for Android and iOS platform. They also plan to reach the suburban area and form partnerships with more companies.

The next plan is to increase user growth by approaching the potential users, improving system and service quality, and educate people to optimize lunchtime through its services.
