OLX Indonesia’s New Taste

Two days ago, OLX Indonesia ‘stopped’ operating all night while explaining that the team were preparing for better website appearance. Right in the next morning, the largest classified ads platform in Indonesia returned with simpler and friendlier display, both for its desktop and mobile web version.

As being stated on its FAQ page, the refreshment focused on interface appearance and couple of new features. OLX Indonesia revealed their four points of highlight:

  • Simpler and friendlier interface display.
  • More photos can be uploaded for one ad (up to 8 images).
  • More detailed ad search (until the level of city), based on price range.
  • The Point Promo gets pivoted to OLX Premium. This time, the feature uses Rupiah.

Compared to the previous version, the selection of icon, font, and menu positioning indeed are more modern and neat. It’s not responsive as any access via mobile devices will end on a whole different display.

Daniel Tumiwa, OLX Indonesia’s CEO, stated in his press release, “We expect to make users more convenient by releasing this new display, since we make it more fun, attractive and friendlier.”

This latest update was the first one under Satya Witoelar, the new Head of Product. We expect the next one would hit the mobile app, both for Android and iOS platforms.

“We added a new filtering feature for ad search, so that users may search for ads based on cities, as well adjustable price range. This will help them finding the right ads,” concluded Satya Witoelar, OLX Indonesia’s Head of Product.
