Rumah.com Appoints Rafael Jeffry Sani as Country Manager for Indonesia

Rumah online property portal has just appointed Rafael Jeffry Sani to be Country Manager for Indonesia. As a Country Manager, Sani will be responsible of supervising Rumah’s growth, strengthening local management team, and optimizing the company’s performance in facilitating its members and visitors.

Sani has made his own fortune for the past 17 years in various industries, including hospitality, FMGC (Coca Cola, Philip Morris), finance (HSBC), manufacture (Holcim), lifestyle (Fashion TV), printed media (Fashion TV Magazine, MNC Group’s High End, Dream Asia’s Founder/Editor in Chief), consultant (Edelman, Andrew Tani) and tourism (Mandala Airlines, Anta-Vaya Group, Smailing Group).

Sani also participated as a part-time educator in Marketing, Branding, and Advertising as well as the founder of Candlelight Communication and Jecreare Creative Consultants.

“I look forward to be part of this company and can’t wait to lead Rumah.com as well as contribute to its business development in Indonesia. With my knowledge and experience, I want to give Rumah new perspectives, ideas, and innovations to reach its glory,” Sani stated in the press release.

This appointment of Sani is the second strategic decision that Rumah has made so far. The first one was partnership with Emtek Group to strengthen its position in Indonesia’s market.

Steve Melhuish, PropertyGuru Group’s Founder and CEO, stated that he is optimistic that Sani is the right one to lead Rumah to the top. He added that Rumah has actually led the market. This is reflected from the number of downloads the platform gets, which is doubled from last year’s figure, and the fact that the platform has more than 8800 property agents putting their ads actively.

“Rumah is obviously leading Indonesia’s online property search market. Sani will bring in his experience as a businessman as well as leader to lead the company. With his proven capability of managing a fleet of different brands, Sani is the right man for Rumah’s success,” Melhuish stated.

Rumah, as one of Asia PropertyGuru Group’s prominent property portals, is currently the biggest property portal in Indonesia. So far, it has accommodated more than 2 million visitors in a month and provided more than 290 thousand propertes listed from 8,800 active property agents. By the end of 2013, the app had got more than 1.3 million downloads.
