Softbank and First Media Announce Partnership for IoT Solution Development
To build IoT-based solution, including for Lippo Group's property ecosystem

Softbank Corp. and Lippo Group’s subsidiary, PT Link Net (First Media), announce partnership for the Internet of Things (IoT) development and implementation as solution for all property ecosystem, health services, and mobility in Indonesia, includes the megaprojects in Meikarta, Lippo Malls, and Siloam Hospitals.
The partnership was done through the signing of an agreement which took place on June 29, 2018 in Jakarta, attended by Marlo Budiman, CEO of First Media, and Hidebumi Kitahara, VP Global Business Strategy Division Softbank Corp.
On the occasion, Kitahara said the global mobile industry is entering the 5G era, where IoT will be the main focus of innovation. He thought this partnership confirms Softbank’s commitment to continue driving technological innovation in the global market and improve the ICT development in Indonesia.
Budiman mentioned the early stage initiative would involve IoT devices implementation along with video analysis of housing, commercial buildings, malls, offices, public roads and other areas within Lippo Group’s property scope.
“The technology initiative is consistent and in accordance with the vision of making Indonesia as the leading digital economy in ASEAN,” he explained.
