The Third Jakarta Great Online Sale is Officially On

Jakarta Great Online Sale (JGOS) 2015 is e-commerce players’ token of contribution to the industry’s development. Being held on the same date as the Festival Jakarta Great Sale (FGJS) to commemorate Jakarta’s 488th anniversary, the program is supported by the local government of DKI Jakarta who regards it as a collective attempt to materialize Jakarta Smart City.

According to UPT Smart City of the local Government of DKI Jakarta’s Head Setiaji, JGOS may better up SME’s economic growth which rides on the trend of online shopping in Indonesia, particularly Jakarta. JGOS will be held from June 22 to June 30, 2015.

“The FGJS Program has run for years as it’s an attempt by the local government of DKI Jakarta to promote the shopping attractions in Jakarta. Going along with the increasing online shopping trend, JGOS 2015 specifically initiates to support Jakarta Smart City, by encouraging the economic, entrepreneurial, and investment growth as well as facilitating SMEs in Jakarta to market their products efficiently and effectively through internet,” he stated.

BerryBenka’s CEO Jason Lamuda, one of the program initiators, admitted that he’s highly enthusiast as the program goes on engaging 63 e-commerce players in Indonesia.

“We expect that through JGOS, the players of e-commerce in Indonesia may collectively contribute to the development of ecosystem through promotion of shopping attractions and online-based services in order to support the Jakarta Smart City and Indonesia Digital 2020,” Lamuda added.

In line with the statement, Bilna’s CEO Ferry Tenka responded by saying that the program is to be taken advantage of by the people as the discounts count for everyone, not only the citizens of Jakarta.

“There’s no limitation when shopping online. Not only for the citizens of Jakarta, but they who live outside Jakarta may also enjoy this special program of Jakarta Great Sale 2015. This is one of e-commerce’s strong evidences in pleasing the consumers,” said elevenia’s VP Marketing Madeleine Ong De Guzman.
