Instant Messaging Survey 2017

One of, if not the, most used mobile app by Indonesian consumers are mobile instant messaging apps. A few years ago BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) was the most used chat app in Indonesia. Nowadays most Indonesians presumably use WhatsApp.

This survey seeks to measure some aspects of how Indonesian consumers use chat apps, the different use-cases (such as for work communication, for keeping contact with family, etc.), and also a general response to the momentary banning of the Telegram app a few weeks ago by the Indonesian Ministry of Communications & Information. Survey conducted in early August 2017 by DailySocial.id in cooperation wih Jakpat Mobile Survey Platform.
