Cronus, Back to the Past to Make a Better World
The game Cronus is not just another game because this game brings the big theme of Imagine Cup 2012, “Imagine a world where technology helps solve the toughest problems”. Therefore, this game brings the humanity issue. The story of this game resolves around environment accidents happened in the past which have great impact to humanity such as the Chernobyl nuclear and Exxon Valdez oil leakage. The game, which falls under the puzzle genre, a plater will go back to the past to “fix” those events.
For instance, in the first level which tell a story about Exxon Valdez oil leakage dan the Chernobyl incident, the player must drain the dangerous substance from the source to a safer place. How to do it is the player must build a construction with pipes, poles and ropes. This game uses physics engine so it resembles the reality.
Other than the first level, Org.com also has finished developing the second level about China earthquake and the fall of Monongah mine. Currently, Org.com is developing the next level which tells a story about Tsunami in Aceh.
Cronus is also equipped with knowledge base feature, where a player gets the information about historical facts of the events that appear in the game. There is also multiplayer feature so the player can compete with another player to finish the game and achievement feature. And there is also the share feature which allows player to share, in example, the knowledge base to their Facebook and Twitter account.
This game has an interesting video trailer. From the video trailer, I catch the strong concept brings out in an interesting graphic it intrigues me to play it. May this game can perform as interesting in the front of Imagine Cup 2012 final judges. Let’s wait for the release to enjoy this game.
