DScussion #4: Ray Chan on 9GAG’s Journey and Long-Term Vision

9GAG has become one of most visited websites worldwide. Ray Chan, 9GAG’s CEO, told us about how he invented 9GAG (which was unintentionally born), with one original intention: to make others happy. It was firstly designed as a photo-sharing website with only few users.

As a Hongkong-based startup, Chan claimed that it wasn’t that hard for 9GAG to collect investments since there are tons of wealthy people in hongkong. Finding someone who understands about digital business was the real challenge.
