Tiket.com to Launch in Less than Two Weeks [Updated]
While many of the existing ticketing outlets serve particular niches separately, such as concerts, sporting events, travel, accommodation, and other categories, tiket.com aims to be a one stop booking outlet for just about everything that requires a ticket to participate. It will face a horde of Indonesian competitors including major players Ibu Dibjo and Raja Karcis as well as the various travel agencies.
A few days ago we shared a sneak peek to what the website would look like and as it happened, principal designer Richard Fang had been sharing even moresneakpeeksonhisInstagramaccount for the past couple of months.
When it launches, tiket is expected to be available on smartphone mobile browsers as well. It will also be running a contest on November 11th with a trip to Bali as a prize.
At the moment we have yet to find out how it will process payments. It's probably safe to say that it will accept the commonly accepted methods through credit card, paypal, and bank transfers. We will have more as the news develops.
update [nov 7]: we've been hearing rumors that the launch date will be November 18 but as we were about to update this post, Tiket COO Natali Ardianto confirmed on his personal blog this morning that it is indeed the date. So mark it on your calendars folks.
