William Tunggaldjaja Officially Joins AsmaraKu as Co-Founder

After previously working as Lazada Indonesia’s Vice President and Zomato and Path’s Country Manager, William Tunggaldjaja officially joined AsmaraKu as Co-Founder. AsmaraKu is an e-commerce startup that focuses on romantic products. Tunggaldjaja revealed that his decision was based on the fact that romance remains an untouched highly potential niche market in Indonesia. Moreover, e-commerce is currently one of main forces in local industry.

“AsmaraKu is aware that people need products that may improve their romance, health, and beauty,” Tunggaldjaja stated. The products range from reproduction and intimate organs healthcare to beauty supplement and test packs.

Tunggaldjaja claimed to focus more on privacy while serving customers

“People are still hesitate or afraid to buy these kind of products at conventional store. AsmaraKu guarantees that consumers will get their privacy while doing transaction on those,” Tunggaldjaja explained.

Considering that the products it offers are user’s privacy, AsmaraKu commits to keep its services highly confidential by providing the privacy button on its website. The delivery process is also done very carefully, with no label or purchaing detail sticked on the package. To ensure consumer’s convenience, the platform allows users to choose between using conventional delivery services or redeeming the product at offline stores in Jabodetabek, including Seven Eleven stores, shopping centers and apartments.

Tunggaldjaja added that AsmaraKu provides a blog which serves complete and trusted information on the steps to build a romantic relationship. “This is a unique website that can be used as a reference. We offer collection of flower bouquet, dolls, cakes, and chocolate for your romantic story,” he stated.

He, who was born in Bandung, started his career in the U.S, working in multinational brands like Johnson & Johnson and Microsoft Corporation before deciding to go back to Indonesia. “After spending my time at foreign e-commerce, it’s time for me to contribute to local industry,” he concluded.
