Alfamart Introduces AlfaOnline Mobile App

Mini market giant Alfamart starts strengthening its e-commerce capacity, as it releases Android app called AlfaOnline that enables users to shop using their own smartphone. The team expect the app may reach one million downloads.

As Okezone reported, PT Sumber Trijaya Lestari has just officially launched AlfaOnline in Medan last Saturday. According to the team, the soft launching will be inducted into series of roadshow. From Medan, the team will travel to other cities like Bekasi, Bali, Semarang, and Surabaya.

PT Sumber Trijaya Lestari’s COO Haryo Suryo Putro himself stated that the target of acquiring one million downloads isn’t out of reach, given thousands of offline stores they possess all over Indonesia and this roadshow concept. Although only being available on Android in the meantime, Putro guaranteed that the team will work on its iOS version pretty soon.

The app version of m.alfaonline.com

If you’re familiar with the appearance of m.alfaonline.com, then the AlfaOnline app wouldn’t be that peculiar to you, as both have quite similar display. If you’re new to AlfaOnline, you’ll get several bonuses during your first visit. After claiming the prizes, you will then be redirected to a typical e-commerce-modeled site.

AlfaOnline positions the menu on the top left of the screen, just like what most of apps do. The menu consists of many categories, from groceries to electronic devices. We may also find the login menu and other menus.

In the Product List menu, AlfaOnline installs infinite scroll, requiring you a pretty good internet connection to spend hours in front of your screen. In my opinion, the cart and check out feature that it provides are quite similar to other e-commerce apps.

What caught my attention was the fact that the information on AlfaOnline’s services has been abailable in numerous cities and districts in Indonesia, even some small ones like Cileungsi, Parung, Rembang, Jember, Plumbon, and Cilacap. It strongly indicates that the network of offline stores that the team have really is a powerful media of promotion.

As for the payment method, AlfaOnline supports several options, including pay at store, E-Voucher Alfamart, Indosat Dompetku, credit card (Mastercard, Visa, JCB), Mandiri Clickpay, BCAKlikpay, DOKU, XL Tunai, T-cash, and Cash on Delivery (COD).
