Other than relocation of development center, Pico World also looking for local resources for its employee.
The President and CEO of CyberAgent America, who is also the Director of Business Strategy Group at CyberAgent, Inc, Namba Toshimichi, mentions two reasons why they relocate the development team to Indonesia. First is about the number of Pico World in Indonesia which reach 30% of its total user. Namba mentions they want to increase Indonesian user to understand more about the local market and its needs.
The second is the rapidly growing Indonesian market and they feel that this is the right time to enter it with existing resources. Related to CyberAgent America’s activity, Namba explains, “Yes, CyberAgent America will still be there. We have been working as a hub between our Japan head quarter, group companies and US market. We have another service run by the U.S. members. I will keep working as a board of US entity as well, so that we can leverage the service itself and new team’s development capability to the States and South East Asia market.“
