Developers Wanted for International SpaceApps Challenge
We're two weeks away from the International Space Apps Challenge and we can't wait to see the stuff that software developers will come up with at the event. Space Apps Challenge is held to build apps, services, and tools to help solve issues affecting the planet and to assist in space explorations. You can find out more about Space Apps Challenge on the website.
There is a lot that software developers can build and participate in. It's expansive, it's extensive, and it will be exciting to find out what people will come up with.
Developers will be challenged to create fun things such as detailed earth map based on NASA's data, remote controlled LEGO robots that works with smartphones, meteor, comet, and space station trackers, green energy solutions, efficient air traffic system, and so many more others.
Developers can also choose to work with teams from other locations around the world (there's 75 of them). On the day, there will be shared notes, chat rooms, video conferences, and other tools to be used for global collaborations. It's a great opportunity for developers to challenge themselves and to get to know other developers around the world.
If you're a software engineer in Indonesia and interested in joining, do register on the website and sign up to the event in Jakarta. We do strongly encourage participants to be present at the venue during the two days of events.
The opening will be held at @america at Pacific Place, 10:00 am on the 20th, and coding will begin right after lunch at Freeware all the way to midday on the 21st. We'll be returning to @america for the closing and award ceremony. Developers are strongly encouraged to stay overnight at Freeware to continue working on their challenges.
Thank you for your attention, looking forward to see some more developers sign up and participate at the event.
