East Ventures Alpha Announced Its First Incubation Batch

East Venture (EV) alpha is a startups incubation program for 100 days, has announced the first batch of the incubation program. There are 6 participants selected. EV Alpha is a program established by East ventures, one of the VCs that invest on Indonesian startups. This program last for 100 days starting from September 2011 to December 2011 and will be closed with Demo Day.

After the EV Alpha registration announcement on August 4th 2011, they announced 6 selected participants. They will join incubation program at East Ventures Tech Center in Senayan, South Jakarta.

Here are the EV Alpha participants (1st batch) :

According the email received by DailySocial, there are 40 proposals sent to EV and finally there are 6 selected participants to join the incubation program starting on September 5th 2011.

As far as I know, EV Alpha is looking for startup working on consumer segment, mobile, web and game, as shown in the selected proposals. Beside funding, they will also get workspace, infrastructure, mentorship from national and international mentors such as Steven Goh (CEO mig33), Kevin Mintaraga (Magnivate), Lawrence Ng (Entrepreneur and investor), Shintaro Yamada (GM Zynga Japan), and so on.

Reading to some information about the participants, there is participant who has similar segment with the EV portfolio. Is this segment trending so that it will get many users? Will it be collaborated with other EV portfolio? Or, as mention above, EV choose to focus on certain segment and keep some portfolio for alternatives. It is interesting to wait for Demo Day in the beginning of 2012 and see what kind of service/product as developed/offered by each participants of EV Alpha.
