Enlight Games Studio – Waroeng Ekspres, 2nd Winner of Chip-Nokia Mobile Game Developer War (Video)

Enlight Games explained during the first presentation on CHIP –Nokia Mobile Game Developer War last Saturday that their English free version mobile game Waroeng Ekspres reached the highest number of 800 downloads in one day.

Under AksaraGames (Aksara Studio) games studio (their current name since April 2011), Waroeng Ekspres is available on Ovi Store at least since May 20, 2011. Enlight Games is a game developer from Surabaya who participated in Mobile Game Developer War – Jogja. They were one of the Top Three and entitled to Grand Final in Jakarta, grabbed 2^nd place and won Rp 20 million.

At Grand Final they presented Waroeng Ekspres – Jawa, the next edition of Waroeng Ekspres. While on version 1 the game was focusing only on on area, the version 2 - Waroeng Ekspres – Jawa – challenges player to open branches all over Java.

Right now paid and free Waroeng Ekspres (version one) app is available at Ovi Store. The difference is the number of levels in the game. You can play this game on Nokia S40 and S60. Jeffrey Hermanto H. and Alexander Rahardjo (2 of 3 Enlight Studio members) said that their gaming application is also available for English and Indonesian version.

People who download their game (free version) aren’t only from Indonesia. The highest downloads in one day for English version (800 downloads) came from India and Vietnam. The total downloads to date has reached (total from both version) is 1.000, including users from Indonesia.

Waroeng Ekspres became the only gaming application at Mobile Game Developer War already available in Ovi Store. It is interesting due to the short period between developing and release period, at least after Mogile Game Developer in Jogja last April 2011. Other than that, by using Indonesian culture element, this game interests not only Indonesian player but also players from other part of Asia.

They also have other games available at Ovi Store called Petualangan Aksara di Jawa, with total of 800 downloads, the English version is being prepared and yet to be launched to public. Aksara Adventure in Java is available on paid and free version.
