[EVENT] Movend WP7 Challenge Offers Lumia Phones as Prizes

In a collaboration with Nokia, Movend held Movend WP7 Challenge competition. The competition is looking for stylish and innovative Windows Phone applications. Participants who enter the competition get the chance to win prizes worth a total of $2000 which consist of 3 Nokia Lumia 800 and 2 Nokia Lumia 710.

Movend WP7 Challenge is open for application developers in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Application submitted for the competition must be completely new, not yet listed on Windows Marketplace, as well as on any other application market. The application must use Movend’s Software Development Kit (SDK).

Before submitting the apps, developers must make sure that the apps have been tested and work properly. Although the competition does not require participants to register their apps to Windows Marketplace, the winning application must be registered to Windows Marketplace.

To be able to use Movend’s SDK, developers have to register for a Movend account first. Movend is an in-app payment service provide. By using Movend’s SDK, developers can easily add a payment system into the application. The payment system is integrated with a wide range of popular payment portal like Android Market In-App Billing, Amazon Payments, Carrier Billing, PayPal and others. This can help developers, in example, game developers who want to add paid item feature or premium game inside their developed game.

Movend WP7 Challenge competition is open until May 15, 2012. After that, judging process will take place for 7 days. Judges will use three criteria for the assessment: design (25%), usability (50%) and creativity (25%).
