Flamingo on Beta Launch, Offering New Experience in Travelling
A new travelling site is coming to town. Flamingo is founded by Bernardus Sumartok, a former Kompas Gramedia digital media employee that turn his head out to startup world. Flamingo offers various travel package all around Indonesia. It might be similar to recently revamped Valadoo, but Sumartok tells us that there are some differences. The site itself isn't fully functional until its grand launching ceremony next Tuesday.
Let me tell you our first encounter with the site. The spirit of pink in flamingo bird has emerged into pinkish nuance all over the site. It's quite refreshing since most startup sites are usually covered with blue or green colors. The site is definitely an eye candy by offering tons of beautiful scenery of Indonesia.
Every package has minimum person required, usually 5 person. Flamingo tries to offer full-fledged experience, including accommodation, dining and any particular thing that would be the center of attraction during the journey. On payment process, Sumartok comments that Flamingo is currently working to integrate a payment getaway to help customers dealing with online transaction system.
While Flamingo itself is about travelling, actually it comes to my senses that Flamingo tries to push it as discovery. For example, we can find category on travelling that focusing on culinary, photography, fashion, culture or art and craft. It's not always about beautiful landscape since Indonesia is abundantly rich of tourist attractions.
Looking forward for the full version of Flamingo.
