Founder of Indonesia's Most Popular PPC AdNetwork Starts Another PPC AdNetwork
The title does sound weird, but it's true. Kukuh TW, one of Indonesia's successful serial entrepreneur is the founder and CEO of KumpulBlogger, a widely popular PPC Ad network with more than 120.000 publishers displaying ads. Founded in 2007, KumpulBlogger has successfully becoming Indonesia's top PPC Ad Network with hundreds of advertisers and keep adding more and more publishers into using their service.
Until a few weeks ago, Kukuh TW announced his new startup IdBlogNetwork which is also a PPC ad network. It's a bit confusing at first, but Kukuh explained that both KumpulBlogger and IdBlogNetwork still running under his management and that both services are targeting different type of publisher and advertiser. Kukuh claims that while KumpulBlogger targetting personal advertisers with personal bloggers as publishers, IdBlogNetwork tries to catch bigger advertisers with selected publishers to guarantee the quality of the ad itself.
One of KumpulBlogger's biggest weakness is the 'get-rich-fast' mlm scheme dominating the services with almost 95% ad majority. Kukuh TW promised to fix this problem in IdBlogNetwork, advertisers are carefully chosen to make sure nothing scammy will show up and also to guarantee the quality of the ads served by publishers.
Indonesia is indeed a huge market for services like these, research conducted in 2009 reveal a huge number of Indonesian bloggers, almost 1 million bloggers. Most of these bloggers are doing it for fun, and a few use their blog to spread useful information and putting up adSense or ppc services like KumpulBlogger in order to generate money. And based on my personal experience, for average an blogger KumpulBlogger generates more money compared to Google AdSense or any other PPC ad network.
Kukuh TW himself was a serial entrepreneur, previously he founded Kronologger (microblogging service sold to Asia Blogging Network), lokasiJakarta (sold) and petaProperti. He's a very talented and productive developer with an eye for business opportunity. Look out for his surprising move in the local's tech industry.
