Free Cloud Computing Service from Indonesian Cloud Gets Launched Today

In today’s global digital world, cloud computing has become one of trends as it enables users to have the access to scalable computing resources, without having to seal huge initial investment. In Indonesia, cloud computing matches that of SMEs. At the moment, there’s even a free service which offers supports for those small-scaled entrepreneurs.

Recently, a study by the Asia Cloud Computing Association (ACCA) found out that cloud-based technology is applicable for SMEs in Asia, including those in Indonesia, to expand their market.

Cloud computing service also tends to be more affordable and accessible. This is important, especially for SMEs and startups, who have limitations in hiring an expert to take care their cloud technology and infrastructure. One of those that have been available in Indonesia is Indonesian Cloud which has just launched Free Cloud product today (7/4).

Cloud Computing becomes popular because the tech allows users to access scalable computing resources without without spending initial investment. “Indonesian Cloud is confident that each and every company in Indonesia should have this tech, regardless on its status as a startup or enterprise,” said Indonesian Cloud’s CEO Neil Cresswell.

“Indonesian Cloud has been serving cloud computation service for enterprises all this time, now we provide services for startups by launching the Free Cloud product. This product is our token of awareness for Indonesia. Indonesian Cloud aims to contribute to the development of startup ecosystem here in this country,” Cresswell stated.

According to him, not every company own the capital to be a cloud computing’s premium feature user. Therefore, they initiate free platforms to be given through this Free Cloud feature.

“No cost is required to access this Free Cloud feature. The service is strengthened by Vmware’s cloud enterprise platform, that has provided desired cloud services. Once they grow, users may switch to our paid premium service,” Cresswell added. He seems really understand that downtime will affect business a lot.

The point is,  startups may enjoy the Free Cloud service, as long as they’ve been legally registered and pay the tax. “We only pick services that startups need without reducing the quality of our service. We give free products, not low quality ones,” he promised.

To enjoy the service, users only need to access Free Cloud website, go to the sign up menu, fill out the required data, and upload their Identity Card, TIN, License, or their Deed of Company.

The free service Free Cloud offers is equipped with 1vCPU, 2GB RAM, 40GB storage, 100Mbps domestic bandwith, Firewall, Load Balancer, and API & Self Service Portal.

Once the startups have grown, of course they may switch the service to a paid premium one. The service rate is various, starting from Rp 3.500 for additional 1GB Disk to a base VM to Rp 1,5 million for 1 Mbps of Dedicated International Internet (see table for the complete list).
