GO-JEK’s latest update has revealed new in-app news, integrating Kumparan’s content channels. Kumparan is a media startup created by Detik founders and former employees.
The most popular news will be displayed on GO-JEK newsfeed. When the app is open, there will be a special channel with various news from Kumparan, along with the categories.
Aside from news channel, there are other content approaches for entertainment. For example, the MamaAnabel prophecy feature, by having the answer options provided, the app will give the “fun” prediction as user’s preference. There’s also a form-shaped feature to show support and congratulation for Asian Games athletes.
All contents are combined with the reviews about GO-JEK services. It includes inspirational stories from drivers, food recommendations, and GO-JEK services reviews. A complete newsfeed is expected to make users comfortable in the app. For GO-JEK, it’ll certainly increase user traction with some raised offers.
Grab with its GrabDaily
Previously, Grab’s update also introduced the same feature. It just didn’t blend natively in newsfeed but being put in GrabDaily. There are various types of content, both from Grab and information news. Grab curates the news from diverse online sources, including Viva, Liputan6, and Bola.com.
Interactive content such as quizzes and score updates from the hottest event (Asian Games) are added to GrabDaily. There’s also native ads on recommending places to visit by Grab and food that can be ordered through the app.
