Google for Work Officially Sails in Indonesia

While there are 55 million SMEs in Indonesia, only 75 thousand of them do online businesses. In order to stimulate the growth, Google initiated to introduce Google for Work, which is specially designed for Indonesian market.

During an interview session with DailySocial (7/4), Google for Work Asia Pacific’s Managing Director Kevin Ackhurst delivered his enthusiasm towards the huge potential possessed by Indonesian SMEs.

“In Indonesia, there are only 1% of SMEs who market their products and services online. We expect that Google for Work may help them improving their productivity.”

In a teleconference with kevin who is based in Australia, he stated that there are more than five million businesses worldwide that utilize Google for Work.

About its availability for Indonesian market, Google has reduced the service’s price up to 40%. This means that instead of spending $50, users in Indonesia may have Google for Work for only $30.

The service package includes professional e-mail, online storage, shared calendar, and video conference equipment. So far, Google has confirmed that Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Document, and Hangouts are included in the package. There has yet been, unfortunately, any confirmation upon the inclusion of other Google personal services.

As we know that Google, one of internet giants in the world, guarantees their products and customer services to run 24/7. Besides being free from online issues, consumers’ convenience may also be reserved as Google for Work is available to be accessed from any available platform, as long as the users are connected to the internet. Users may access the services offline as long as they use Google Chrome.

If you’re interested to have a taste of the services, Google has a free trial program which is limited to 10 users only.
