Grab is Now Available at All DAMRI Stations
To support seamless connectivity and cashless society
Damri, Grab, and OVO have agreed to create a connectivity platform in all DAMRI stations. This partnership is to accommodate all passengers in ordering GrabCar or GrabBike directly by visiting the official pick-up point at all DAMRI stations throughout Indonesia.
The signing between the three companies is OVO and Grab's commitment to providing not only affordable, safe, and convenient transportation solution, but also cashless payment for DAMRI customers in particular. It will be Grab's next breakthrough after becoming the official transport at several airports.
"Over this strategic partnership with Grab [OVO included] we expect to broaden access towards different kinds of transport for DAMRI customers and public as part of our effort to provide faster, easier service and cashless payment," Tatan Rustandi, DAMRI's Director of Commercial and Business Development, explained.
He also added that the company will make an effort to support the existing transportation system in Indonesia. He expects DAMRI to be a good example for online-based transportation and cashless payment at Indonesia's public facility.
Grab Indonesia's Managing Director Ridzki Kramadibrata said the partnership with DAMRI will provide access to various kinds of first and last mile transportations for DAMRI customers.
"With customer base in eight Southeast Asia's countries and has been downloaded over 90 million times, we notice the Grab's presence in DAMRI stations will be able to support DAMRI's purpose in providing easier access to its customers, either local or overseas tourists," he explained.
In addition, Grab will also help the customers to book a trip through their agents. Grab members can also exchange GrabReward points to get DAMRI pass by scanning voucher code.
