Hachiko HD, Favorite Game on iPad, Developed by TouchTen
Please check your iTunes to see the top list of application. For those of you using iPad, between the Top Free iPad lists (dominated with games) will find the name Hachiko HD Lite. Hachiko HD Lite is originally a local developer app made by TouchTen. TouchTen was established by Anton Soeharyo, Dede Indrapurna and Rokimas P. Soeharyo. Hachiko HD is consist of free version with forest as the theme and paid version (it cost US$ 1.99).
The gameplay is not so different from most popular games like Angry Birds and Cut The Rope. Each level, you have to move the dog (hachiko, in Japanese) closer to a box where the bone is. Of course in every level the difficulty is increase, but you will find help along the way such as dynamite and other tools.
TouchTen team itself had already gain success developing Sushi Chain app that have been downloaded by over 2 million iPhone users worldwide in less than a year. The name Hachiko is taken from a loyal dog icon in Japan, the developer came out with the idea when they were studying in Japan.
When I tried the game, I admit the interface is smooth and it makes me curious to continue unlocking each level. The only thing that disturbs me is each time I move to the next level; there is a loading bar in the bottom right corner. I don’t know whether it’s trying to connect to the internet or not but I hope it can be removed in the next update/upgrade.
Not so different from Nightspade with its iOS game, for me, TouchTen game is quite promising; more over after it got a warm welcome worldwide. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration if one day there’s an application from Indonesia that will be as popular as Angry Birds.
