Hadi Wenas Appointed To Lead Lippo's E-Commerce Giant MatahariMall.com

In order to ensure their objective of being the biggest e-commerce player in Southeast Asia, Lippo Group hast just appointed Hadi Wenas as MatahariMall.com’s CEO today (9/4). The recruitment of this importance is going to be followed by other talent acquisitions in the near future.

Hadi Wenas was the founder of Zalora Indonesia. He then continued his career as Co-CEO of aCommerce, a startup that assists the acceleration of e-commerce business in Indonesia. By having him on board, it would be easier for Lippo Group to reach their objective, which is to make MatahariMall.com as Indonesian version of Alibaba. During his time at aCommerce, Wenas was also the one who sealed a deal between the startup with the well-funded MatahariMall.com.

MatahariMall.com is reported to have a strong backing which is allocated to build a proper management team, inventory, as well as business expansion a few months ago. Later, the platform is expected to create a better ecosystem by empowering merchants and buyers anytime and anywhere. MatahariMall also introduced their unique service called O2O. This service enables users to purchase and pay products online to later redeem and return them at 131 Matahari Department Stores all over Indonesia.
