IDCloudHost Acquire Dewabiz to Expand Market
Not so worried about the government's revision plan of PP82 / 2012
On Friday (4/3), the hosting provider company IDCloudHost has announced acquisition over Dewabiz. It was done due to business coverage expansion and to get the opportunity of SMEs planning to digitize their business.
After this acquisition, IDCloudHost Group is currently has two subsidiaries, PT Awal Kilat Semesta offering PaaS product and Dewabiz. Although having identical products, IDCloudHost's Co-Founder & CMO, Muhammad Mufid Luthfi said there is no plan to merge IDCloudHost with Dewabiz.
"IDCloudHost has different segment with Dewabiz. Unlimited hosting is Dewabiz's focus, not IDCloudHost. We'll keep observing market and yet to think of merger," Mufid said.
In addition, Mufid also explained that his company will continue to intensify strategic partnership with SMEs and startups to deliver services and products that are suitable for the current market.In its 4th year, IDCloudHost strives to maximize local servers potential for businesses in presenting digital services.
Regarding PP 82 revision plan being the spotlight of the local hosting industry, the Co-Founder & CEO of IDCloudHost Alfian explained, basically since the company was established, it has competed with global players indirectly in the provision of cloud computing and infrastructure.
"Last year we expanded to the Singapore data center with the name legal Cloud Host Pte Ltd, currently 60% of our users are using Singapore server more than Indonesia," Alfian said.
About the PP82's revision plan by the government, Alfian added, "To date, data sovereignty is more important than anything, the state must take part in maintaining data properly."
