Kark Mobile Education Receives Investment From Ideosource
Kark Mobile Education, winner of the Telkomsel Startup Bootcamp, today announced that they has received investment from Ideosource to fund development of their new product. The amount of invesment are remain disclosed.
This deals is closed during the JFDI - Innov8 2012 Bootcamp. The bootcamp, a 100 days business acceleration program, the startup is encouraged to get investment for their ideas. Kark is the first startup to receive an invesment in this bootcamp, even before the bootcamp Demo Day, which will attract 100 investors from the Asia Pacific region. According to the co-founder JFDI.Asia, Wong Meng Weng, this deals to be a proof of the progress achieved by Kark Mobile Education since they moved to Singapore a few months ago
Kark, which founder came from Indonesia, are moving their startup to Singapore to participate in the bootcamp. They set up a startup in Singapore officially named Kark Mobile Education Pte Ltd.
The product offered by Kark Mobile Education also tentatively called Kark. The concept of Kark is a tablet-based learning application for 4-12 years old in which children will trading cards, to trigger simulation and interactivity.
Kark Mobile Education and CTO, Bullit Sezaria, in a press release received by DailySocial, said “We are delighted to have this support, which gives us the ability to continue building our product after the bootcamp and reinforces what we have believed all along– that games have a great future in the educational industry.” Sezaria added, “We will be unveiling our exciting new product aimed at the family education market shortly.”.
In the other hand, Andi Surja Boediman, Director at Ideosource, revealed Ideosource reason to invest in Kark. In their opinion, Kark both company and product, is a good innovation in digital industry.
