Kreavi wants to display your creative works online

Creative work is one thing that could be prominent locally, especially with the development of online tools, the more creative work and we can see as well as artistes who publish their work in web services.

If the previous service from abroad is used as a 'home' to these works, now local service is also providing almost similar facility. I had written about KayaKarya previously and there is also CreativeTrees for a similar services. Now there is a new service called Kreavi.com.

I met the founder and CEO of the service, Benny Fajarai at the Jakarta Startups Club some time ago, when he said its service is in the final preparation stage and ready to be introduced to the public. Last Saturday I was given the news that the service has entered a live-beta period and has been able to be accessed by the user.

Like a similar site that makes tools for users to put a work portfolio; Kreavi.com also provides some facilities such as creation visual gallery and there are also a community facility for the users to interact.

There are many categories to choose for the artistes to put their works; from the Digital Art, Graphic and Interface Design, Traditional Fine Art, Photography, Film & Videography, Animation, Architectural Design and Cartoon & Comics. Each category has sub categories that allow visitors to see the work more specifically.

Users can register and then upload their work, make the album, fill in the work description (including the category and description), and add watermark. When trying the facilities on this site, there are two upload options facilities for pictures and video file.

Kreavi.com also provides points and badges that can be obtained by users against certain conditions. For example: points will be earned according to the amount of visual creations and the "like" per creations uploaded while badges and privileges can be obtained in accordance with certain points. Another feature available is a feature follow, messages and comments in the other gallery as well as notification. One interesting feature for me is a feature of interest and recommendation. With this feature, users can select their each interest thus later on; Kreavi system will provide recommendations from the Kreavi work according to the interests that have been set by the user. Recommendations will come when we log in and it's located at the bottom of the home page.

With the growth of the Internet which is opening up opportunities for creators from Indonesia to show their works and many interesting local works deserves to be appreciated, a service opportunity such as Kreavi.com is wide open. But of course the competition is not only coming from the local site but also other global sites. Not only the community issues that must be grown, built and maintained but also offered value shall be different or better than similar services. It would be interesting to see further developments especially when there are many registered members. Being a directory and the work place display is one of the goals for the service like this but how to make people keep uploading works and how users can get the benefits requires strategy. It's such as how to connect the freelancer who joined the service with prospective clients or make marketplace facility for those in need because there may be users who need it but on the other hand there are who only want to upload work without wanting to get clients. So there is a unique facility to each user.
