migme Published New API and Announced Investment at MatchMe

migme social entertainment portal has just injected $400 thousand to Singapore-based MatchMe Pte Ltd. The money is expected to help the game developer, as well as other developers, to utilize the migme’s latest newly-published Application Programming Interface (API).

Frankly speaking, the deal will enable MatchMe to use the API and enrich Migme with competition and tournament games, in which six of them will be beta tested by the end of this month. As been reported by Tech in Asia, migme has previously acquired LoveByte, a Singapore-based chatting platform, in an undisclosed deal.

Good thing is, developers may benefit from the pre-installation growth of user base, the audience development with media partners, as well as selection of local payment methods by basing their apps to the API (According to OpenAuth and REST). Moreover, the API will make a sole sign in system which connects migme to LoveByte and other partnering game studios like Nightspade Mobile Game Studio and TweenSoft (both plan to apply their platform at migme in the first quarter of 2015).

migme’s CEO Steven Goh described the addition of apps and games to migme’s platform as “a strategic move that will increase the number of monthly active users”. The number itself has stretched to 9 million users now.

“We are more than happy to launch this program for developers and invest at MatchMe. Games is the best tool for migme to keep encouraging users’ involvement as well as monetize, so that we may increase the shares value,” Goh explained.

MatchMe’s Co-CEO responded by saying, “We are glad to bring along captivating tournament-formatted cross-platform, multi-player games to migme, and we’ll keep developing our content portfolio. We expect to have a more advanced partnership in 2015.”

In Indonesia, migme has officially partnered with a number of local recording companies to show its commitment in building a platform to bridge artists and their fans. Going back further, the company had also signed MoU with local telcos to distribute the platform in much more devices.

“We are unique because all of our partners, be it handset producers, artist recorders, payment providers, or app and game developers, enable us to build a proper financial proportion for social media users in developing countries,” Goh ended.
