Mojopia Gets Into Gaming, Mojogamon Went Live Silently

Some of you might know Mojopia as the company behind the well-funded e-commerce marketplace Plasa.com, who has been very silent for the past few months about the progress of their service. Earlier today when I lurk around the website, I stumbled upon another website Mojogamon which kind of explains what Mojopia have been doing lately.

Mojogamon is an online game portal where they host numerous online games, mostly targeting young /teenager audience judging from the title of the games. Mojogamon partners with OrangeGame and Korean-based e2on inc as game publisher where Mojogamon acts like game distributor, enabling end-users to play directly from their browser.

The website is still very much inactive and unusable, lots of dead links floating around so I guess we still have to wait until Mojopia officially release Mojogamon. And the interesting news is that Mojogamon will face direct competition with Friendster after they social networking site decided to rebrand their site into a gaming portal, not to mention the local incumbent Games.co.id. Should be an interesting competition to keep an eye on.

Oh, and looks like everyone's trying to get a hold of the gaming industry in Indonesia.
