Moka Launches Payment Aggregator App Moka Pay

Moka enters the payment aggregator service by launching Moka Pay. The feature is designed to accommodate non-cash transaction for SME's merchants using its POS (Point of Sales) service. On DailySocial observation, the beta version Moka Pay is now available to download in Google Play.

From the information provided, Moka Pay is not only acted as a payment aggregator but also has a simple POS feature to support entrepreneurs in scaling up the business.

There are employee management access, financial report, invoice making, maintaining progress for outlets in other locations, and many more. All transactions will be recorded in cloud and accessible anytime in real time.

In addition, there's a non-cash feature to accommodate transaction from various sources, such as e-wallet, credit card, and cash. Some fintech players have partnered up with Moka are Akulaku, Ovo, TCash, and Kredivo. Entrepreneurs no longer need to invest for additional tools for this payment option.

Take a closer look, Moka implements freemium business model for Moka Pay app. It means, users can work with all the available services, but there are some features available after the upgrade to Moka POS.

The strategy is considered as Moka's initiative to acquire new user base without having to subscribe first, as usually applied for Moka POS. In terms of product segment, Moka Pay's target is not only the micro-segments but also higher scale.

The product was mentioned briefly by Bayu Ramadhan, Moka's VP of Brand & Marketing in #SelasaStartup session this week. He said, Moka is preparing a product for the micro-segments, it is to be released in the Q1 next year.

Moka POS is said to be used by more than 12 thousand businessmen in 200 locations all over Indonesia. Not only providing POS cashier solution, Moka has other unit includes Moka Capital for the capital loan to all businessmen of lending players. There is also Moka App Marketplace for other solutions for accounting.
