Ngaturduit.com: About Their Cooperation with Financial Planner and Application Development Plan

It’s been a while I have not visited this site, and when I came back and tried their service is when I wrote about a financial management application Amplop.in, to see feature differences of these two services.

And now, when you visit Ngaturduit.com’s website you will see a financial planner logo as Ngaturduit.com’s partner. As confirmed by Api Perdana from Ngaturduit that they are now working with Akbar's Financial Checkup (AFC).

This cooperation is carried out for several reasons, first is Ngaturduit want to develop their services, not only as a tool, but they want to turn it into a service. Another reason is that AFC has the same vision with Ngaturduit, and could become a partner and support Ngaturduit which has fewer experience in finance.

This partnership also brings some changes for Ngaturduit not only from the services but also the improvement of their own applications. Ngaturduit is currently in the process of revamping their site and develop applications for BlackBerry users. The ‘new’ version of Ngaturduit is planned to be launched on March 26th, 2011 in conjunction with the show The Indonesian Financial Planning Expo.

The launch will also mark the renewal of their promotional strategy which will become active, whereas in April Ngaturduit will launch an application for Android users.

The other news about Ngaturduit had made me interested, aside from the cooperation with financial planners, is the news that they were acquired. Api Perdana confirmed he could not give any comment for the acquisition of services Ngaturduit, but at the moment Ngaturduit run with funding from two companies, PT. Indoputra Absolut and PT. Avevo Dynamics. The 'spearhead' of Ngaturduit is Api Perdana to handle the business models, partnerships, monetization, etc., as well as Adhityo Priyambodo as the CTO.

For user data, it is described that recently Ngaturduit already have 5,000 active users with the value of transactions (financial data entered by the user) more than 60 billion rupiah.

How is the monetization strategy of Ngaturduit.com? I think working with a financial planner is a good strategy. They already have a consumer base and Ngaturduit can be a tool to optimize the financial plan, the feedback obtained is also of course be more conical and well targeted.

Api Perdana explained that Ngaturduit later will provide a paid facility. For most Ngaturduit features, such as recording, self-monitoring, reports, various tips, financial information or things that are included in the self-help feature will be available free for all, while the paid area will be subject to special consultative financial condition, or if the consumer/users asked for a financial plan (such as insurance, education funding, retirement, etc.).

With a market share of those who have joined the community of financial planners, this strategy would be quite good to be developed, at least they now have a focus on a clear market share, the general consumer for the general features, whereas the specific services can be applied to the niche consumers, while there are still wide-open opportunities to implement each services in each market.
