OngkosKirim.com: a Service for Comparing Courier Service Fee

Another new comer from this town is OngkosKirim.com. OngkosKirim (service fee) is a price comparison service from various courier companies. From the official press release on the official blog site, OngkosKirim.com is a platform that provides integrated services for checking fare/tariff, delivery status, and others from various courier companies Indonesia such as POS Indonesia, JNE, TIKI, Pahala, Wahana, etc.

As we quoted from the press release, the purpose of creating OngkosKirim.com is to provide convenience for courier service/expedition customers or courier service/expedition soon-to-be- customers in getting information from various courier companies/expedition.

OngkosKirim also offers courier company a new distribution channel for delivering information about the services that they provide and the ease of management with free to low cost system without having their own infrastructure.

OngkosKirim is developed by OpenKurir.com, a local courier service that provides a wide range of courier services such as pick up - delivery items/ food, goods purchase/shopping, shuttle passengers for children/employees, tour guide, etc.

OpenKurir.com was initially planned June 2011 launching however it hasn't been realized this until December 2011. This is due to the readiness of their management and operation. In between preparing management and operational for OpenKurir.com, Mr Revandi M, founder of OpenKurir, launched OngkosKirim.com.

Currently, it seems the service available is only for Pos Indonesia and the JNE to compare prices or shipping costs. Later on they will add other couriers in OngkosKirim.com.
