PilihDokter Receives Funding from Healthcare Tech Company RingMD

Healthcare portal PilihDokter announces it has received seven figures US Dollar funding from global healthcare tech company RingMD. PilihDokter will soon be renamed as RingMD Indonesia, while the portal will be redesigned and use new domain dokter.id.

PilihDokter is a healthcare information portal that gives question-answer session about health problem, information about illness' symptoms, and databases on doctors and hospitals in Indonesia. The site will be redesigned, hopefully will be finished by mid-April, and will be rebranded with easier and catchy name dokter.id.

Grace Tahir, Co-Founder of PilihDokter about this investment said, “RingMD has a terrific platform for connecting doctors and patients, and this will help the entire spectrum of the healthcare industry in Indonesia by providing better care and reducing bottlenecks. RingMD is a platform that allows consumer to consult directly with any listed doctors from anywhere in the world (through online, phone, or video communication) with affordable rate.

Healthcare portal in Indonesia is a growing business since it caters the need of many local consumers that would like to gain more information about healthcare, not only from the doctor itself. PilihDokter is one service to bridge this gap, while helping consumers find nearest doctor and hospital throughout Indonesia.

After receiving this funding, PilihDokter plans to to increase their workforce and marketing effort to educate more people about "telehealth". Tahir told to DailySocial, "We are planning to do roadshows to introduce this to hospitals, medical schools and other healthcare providers outside Jakarta. My vision has always been to provide better and accessible healthcare to more Indonesians especially those outside Jakarta."
