SoftLayer Asia Roadshow Invite Indonesian Tech Startups To Know More About Cloud Computing

SoftLayer Asia Roadshow will greet Indonesia’s local startups scene pretty soon. Being held in Jakarta, the event is inviting startups to learn about how to operate the cloud computation properly as well as utilize it to support their technology-based businesses. Besides Jakarta, SoftLayer also plans to conduct the roadshow in a number of other cities, such as Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

As one of IBM’s subsidiaries, SoftLayer offers to help tech companies building their own cloud-based infrastructure. Ever since being established back in 2005, SoftLayer has successfully guided various tech companies, ranging from startups to global tech giants, to resolve their needs on cloud infrastructure. In the process, the company has launched a number of variants, i.e Bare Metal Server, Virtual Server, networks, Big Data Solutions, and Private Cloud Solutions.

During its visit to Indonesia, SoftLayer will try to offer one of its products, Bare Metal Server, to the local tech companies. The product itself may help them building both public and private cloud infrastructure.

In Jakarta, SoftLayer Asia would collaborate with e27 to hold a workshop which is open for all local startups to join. The agenda of the workshop itself would be various, including the introduction of SoftLayer technology, the introduction of the Bare Metal Server product, and the socialisation of cloud technology, which may support various online businesses i.e e-commerce, digital advertising, social media, mobile apps, and gaming. The workshop’s participants will also have the privilege to build their own cloud infrastructure at no cost at all.

This workshop is planned to feature a number of experts, including Philip Jackson (Leader and Developer of Advocate SoftLayer Technologies), Harold Smith (Director and Sales Engineering of SoftLayer Technologies), and Chris Gallo (Developer Community of Advocate SoftLayer Technologies). The workshop itself will be held at GEPI, DBS Ciputra World 1 Tower on October3, 2014.
