Stealth startup Gonla looks ready to be launched

A new startup called Gonla.com is secretly preparing to enter the online travel competition in Indonesia. Almost no information can be found on the web page that currently still says “Coming Soon”, but we managed to gather some information about this stealth startup.

A simple search through WHOIS inside the Gonla domain will reveal information that said domain is registered under the name PT. Visi Perjalanan Inkubator. Further search on LinkedIn also featured several members of Gonla, the couple of them have background in travel and online field. Our sources told us that Gonla indeed will enter the travel segment especially in Indonesia and this seems credible proven from the search result on LinkedIn.

Lately, online travel business in Indonesia is rising rapidly, ranging from large multinational players such as Wego, TripAdvisor and Agoda which slowly entering Indonesian market to local players such as Tiket, Travel in Seven, Jajalindo, GoIndonesia and many more.

Gonla itself is under the Viva media group, and reportedly will soon launch its services in the next few months.
