The Winners of Blaast App Competition

Last Friday, September 9th 201, Blaast

held meetup in Jakarta and announced the winner of Blaast application competition which the registration opened since last May 2011. The competition is divided into two registration stages, the first on is closed in June and the second one is closed last July.

Blaast is a cloud computing platform on mobile device. Its head office is in Finlandia. Blaast chooses Indonesia as the first place to launch their service because the chance of feature phone in Indonesia is quite big. They also said

that they will collaborate with the telecommunication operator to offer application store with subscription concept.

sent to DailySocial, it is stated that there are dozens applications participated in this competition which some applications have been reported on DailySocial in the submission party event some time ago. Finally, there are 5 winners got the prize.

Here are the winners of Blaast application competition:

  1. 1st Winner, Tempa Labs with game application Desa Farm
  2. 2nd Winner, Ikhlas Sandy with game application Brick Breaker
  3. 3rd Winner, Nightspade with game application Gyropet
  4. 4th Winner, Aksara Games with game application Petualangan Aksara Jawa
  5. 5th Winner, Faris with chat application FChitChat

At the meetup, the prize is symbolically given by Blaast representation. The prize is Europe travel for the first winner for a week, including a visit to Blaast head office and Skype office. The second winner got MacBook Pro and each third, forth, and fifth winner got Samsung Galaxy S2 as the prize. Later, all the winners’ application will be available in Blaast App Library.

Although it is not really clear yet, at least for me, about what kind of cooperation and how the execution works with Blaast partners in launching their platform, but they aggressively making approach to local developers in many regions, at least Jakarta, Bandung, and Yogyakarta. I also heard the news that there are some other cities will be the promotion target for their platform. Blaast also stated that after this competition they will hold some other events.
